There is currently an outage of real-time seismic data feeds spanning the majority of US-based networks that are contributed to EarthScope through the National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC). These affected networks include: 3A, C0, CU, GS, GT, IC, IM, IU, IW, LD, N4, NE, NM, NW, PT, RO, XU, YX, and US. The outage began on 07/16/2026 at approximately 02:00 PM UTC.

We have been informed that a fiber-optic cable critical to data flow was damaged, resulting in these communication issues. The NEIC is currently working on a fix, and services will be restored as soon as possible.

Best,
EarthScope Team
