Dear DAS Community,
I’m pleased to announce a 4-year PhD position at the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw, Poland), as part of the research project
BrewDAS: Building Robust and Efficient Workflows for Distributed Acoustic Sensing to Enhance Comprehension of the Dynamics of Hansbreen Glacier.
Project Summary:
The project focuses on developing efficient workflows for processing large DAS datasets to enable high-resolution seismic monitoring of glaciers. Using data from Hansbreen Glacier (Svalbard), it aims to improve event detection, noise suppression, and integration
with traditional seismic sensors. The overarching goal is to advance cryoseismology and enhance our understanding of glacier dynamics under climate forcing.
