Paper invitation to Forum Acusticum 2026

Sir or Madam,
Forum Acusticum 2026 (FA2026), organized by the Austrian Acoustical Association, will be held in
Graz (Austria), from September 8th to 12th, 2026.
As organizers of the Topic “A13/10: Applications of Distributed Acoustic Sensing”, under the Area “A13: Physical Acoustics and Ultrasound”, we would like to cordially invite you
to submit a paper.
Our topic collects contributions on subsurface characterization, seismic monitoring, structural monitoring and diagnostics (SHM), and environmental observations,
as well as advances in data processing methods for DAS applications.
Two publication formats are available:
1) Full-paper peer-reviewed submission: your paper will undergo a full review by at least two reviewers. If accepted, the revised paper will be published under open access and indexed in Scopus as part of the Proceedings of Forum Acusticum 2026.
Submissions to this category must be completed by 31 March 2026. Upon acceptance, authors will be requested to re-submit their final
paper with revisions incorporated based on the reviewers' comments and confirmed by the Topic chairs.
These submissions must not exceed 6 pages and comply with templates provided on our website. The page limit of 6 pages (within the provided template) is final; papers exceeding this limit will be formally rejected. The limit is intended to provide the authors
with the option of submitting extended versions of their manuscripts to journals such as Acta Acustica of the EAA. Acta Acustica offers diamond open access, meaning that publication is free for both authors and readers.
2) Abstract/Title Submission (no full peer review): In this category, only the abstract and title are submitted initially, which will be reviewed and selected by the Topic chairs (no paper review and no reviewers involved). After acceptance, authors
will be invited to submit their final papers using the non-reviewed paper template. These papers will also be formally checked for compliance with the template and page limit. They will be published in the open-access collection Documenta of Forum Acusticum
2026.
The deadline for this format is 30 April 2026.

contact information for the first author and their submissions.
Please note that while online payments are already accepted, the registration fee only needs to be paid after acceptance in order for the paper to be included in the conference program.
