We are excited to announce that registration is now officially open for the
EGU Galileo Conference: Shaking Boundaries – Environmental Seismology Across Disciplines and Methods, taking place from
8–11 June 2026 in Kiel, Germany.
Four days of seismic waves, interdisciplinary science, field stories, unexpected discussions over coffee

and probably at least one plot that refuses to behave properly.

By Train
Most international train connections arrive at Hamburg Haupt Bahnhof (Hamburg Hbf).
From Hamburg Hbf to Kiel Hbf:

ICE (InterCity Express)

Travel time: approximately
1 hour 15 minutes
From Kiel Hauptbahnhof (Kiel Hbf), you can reach GEOMAR via:

Bus 14, 15, X60, 200, or 201
Please get off at “Kiel Seefischmarkt” and walk a few minutes to the campus.

By Plane
If arriving at Hamburg Airport (HAM), you can take the
Bus Line 4550 directly to Kiel.
The bus arrives at Kiel ZOB, located next to Kiel Hbf.
Alternatively:

Take the
S1 regional train from Hamburg Airport to Hamburg Hbf -
Continue onwards to Kiel following the train instructions above

Both options take approximately
1 hour 40 minutes
