I’m looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Fellow to join me at the Research School of the Earth Sciences as part of the newly funded
ARC Centre
of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science (COMBS)
You’ll work on the deployment, acquisition, analysis, and interpretation of large Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) datasets, advancing our seismic imaging research. You'll also be developing technical advances using optical frequency combs (the world's most
accurate measurement tool) with the goal of expanding the capability of our strong field-based seismic imaging research. Ultimately, we hope these new technology innovations will allow us to better understand of Earth’s structure and evolution.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Strong track record in Earth sciences, seismology, geophysics, or related fields
- Innovative research skills
- Experience with DAS data for observational seismology
- Interest in participating and designing field-based DAS experiments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Deadline extended until August 15, 2024.
Please contact me for additional information.
