Dear Colleagues,
We would like to draw your attention to the EGU Galileo
Conference "Fibre Optic Sensing in Geosciences” that will
be held in Aussois (France) from 31 August to 4 September
2026.
The "Fibre Optic Sensing in Geosciences" Galileo Conference aims
to bring together all communities developing and benefiting from
fibre optic sensing technologies in the field of geosciences.
The event will showcase the latest progress and advances in
technological development. It will also highlight
state-of-the-art processing and analysis approaches, as well as
the latest initiatives and strategies for data sharing,
open-source software, and collaboration platforms. All of this
is to improve our understanding of the Earth system and
highlight how these novel sensing technologies can have a real
impact in enhancing the safety and resilience of our modern
societies.
The conference will include master classes and 5 scientific
sessions:
- Fiber optic sensing: New developments and instrumentation
- Toward real-time monitoring
- New frontiers using fibre sensing: from laboratories to space
- Sensing natural environments
- Urban society with fibre sensing
We invite you to submit your abstract before April 20th, 2026
to https://www.egu-galileo.eu/gc14-fibreoptic/home.html
Looking forward to seeing you in Aussois!
On behalf of the Organizing Committee
