| Celebrating Durga Puja at Durgabari, your home away from home – Oct 14-17 |

Durga Puja is back and we are ready to celebrate!
Houston’s famous Durga Puja will be celebrated from Oct 14th, Thursday to 17th, Sunday. Shashti on Thursday, Saptami on Friday, Ashtami/Sandhi Puja on Saturday and Navami/Dashami on Sunday.
Celebrations In-person with Ma Durga’s blessings and better trends!
Due to increased vaccinations and overall downward trend in COVID cases, we'll conduct a normal in-person Puja at Durgabari with limited online streaming of the Pujas and a few cultural events.

A Rocking Cultural Program for Durga Puja bringing Bengal to Houston!
"Let's Celebrate.. from darkness to hope & light" A Musical Ensemble based on Salil Choudhury, Kazi Nazrul Islam and contemporary Bengali Songs. This will be a mega show on Saturday, Oct 16th Choreographed and Directed By Sukalyan Bhattacharya of Sukalyann D Entourage with talented Local Houston Dancers. We are all excited and look forward to everyone's participation. It is requested by Sukalyann that interested participants 18 yrs and above send a Video Clip 1-3 mins of their solo or group dance to: pujacu...@durgabari.org; by June 6th. Zoom rehearsals will start and be scheduled from the end of June. Cultural team is working on other programs and will update once they are confirmed. Look forward to more exciting programs to be added to the lineup.
Sharad Arghya – Be creative, publish your articles and art in our magazine!
Houston Durga Bari Society (HDBS) invites you to submit your original essay, short story, poetry, exciting shareable experience, written either in Bengali or English. You can also send your own creative cartoons, comics, arts and paintings for the HDBS annual Puja Magazine 2021 (Sharad Arghya). Publication is up to the discretion of the editorial board.
