In Memoriam: Mrs. Shikha Goswami
With a heavy heart, we announce Shikha Goswami passed away on April 19, 2024, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 71. She was born on May 15, 1952, in Ranchi, India. Shikha was a loving, personable, and extremely hard-working individual who touched the lives of many. She was a deeply devoted person who dedicated countless hours to spiritual practices and community service, often volunteering at her local temple and participating enthusiastically in religious events. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, influencing her daily actions and interactions. Alongside her spiritual commitments, Shikha found joy and peace in her garden, nurturing plants and flowers with the same care she devoted to her family and friends. She was also an enthusiastic cook, whose delightful and savory dishes brought everyone together around the table. She is survived by her beloved husband Chittaranjan Goswami, her son Sudeep Goswami, her daughter Moumita Shenoy, her son-in-law Sanjay Shenoy, her grandsons Apurva Ghosh, Rishi Shenoy, Siddharth Shenoy, Aarav Nangia, and Ayaan Shenoy, her granddaughters Anshumita Dasgupta, Anvi Sinha, and Sia Shenoy, her brother Debashis Chanda, her sisters Rekha Chaudhuri and Aparna Basu, her nieces Debjani Ghosh, Tanushree Roy, Arundhati Dasgupta, Aditi Nangia, Piyan Sinha, Radhika Chanda, and Rima Basu, her nephews Sumit Goswami, Sushmit Goswami, Siddhant Vinayak Chanda, and Rahul Basu, along with numerous other family members and close friends. Shikha is preceded in death by her grandmother Bimola Chanda, her father Kiriti Bhushan Chanda, and her mother Protima Chanda. Please join us for the funeral services to be held at Sugar Land Mortuary, located at 1818 Eldridge Rd, Sugar Land, TX 77478, on Wednesday, April 24th, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm May his/her soul Rest in Peace.
