2020 HDBS ELECTION COMMITTEE BULLETIN No. 6

The 2020 Election Committee (EC) completed their task of collecting all the mail received from HDBS voters and opening the envelopes. The voter response in nominating candidates is very encouraging, although the total number of “Request for Mail-in Ballot” forms returned to the EC fell short of our expectations.

The names of all Nominees were tabulated and they were notified individually via email on Sunday, 10/11/20. They were all asked to confirm to the Election Committee that they had consented to being nominated. On receipt of all confirmations/denials, the EC will provide the Nominees with a list of all confirmed candidates. They will have the opportunity to either confirm or withdraw from running in the election within a four-day window. The EC expects to publish the final list of candidates to all voters around October 20, 2020.

The EC encourages voters who have not yet mailed back their signed Request for Mail-in Ballot forms, to please do so as soon as possible. The EC needs them by Tuesday, 10/20/20, in order to have sufficient time to prepare and mail all ballots around October 31, 2020.
