Calling All Arts Teachers

Hello,

Just as many teachers are working to finish up the school year, our teachers are just getting ramped up.

Are you a teacher? You can help us build a timeless school of the arts, from the grassroots up. We are now actively enrolling volunteer teachers and community arts groups throughout the neighborhood to teach these classes to local students in need of the arts.

Can you teach one class per week? Underfunded schools like DCIS Middle, West High, and Fairmont Elementary are in need of extra teachers, space, and supplies for this coming Fall. So this summer we're running a pilot program out of Gratis Studio, a free arts school for K-12 students located at 734 Santa Fe Dr, to bring arts classes to the nine public schools in our neck of the woods.

If you are interested in teaching arts classes this summer to prepare us for SY2011-12, please reply to this email with a note about yourself and the classes you may like to teach. We will get back to all teachers by the end of the week.
