Volunteers,

Just a quick update -- we've nearly made our goal. In the last 48 hours we've raised more than $6,000 for the school.

But we're not there yet. We need another $1k by the end of the day today to meet our budget goal for the week.

Here's the gameplan:

Spread this link like wildfire: http://h.dpau.org/capital-repairs

Right now we're sounding the alarms and sending http://h.dpau.org/capital-repairs to everyone we know. Our biggest means of publicity now are:
  1. Emailing a personal note to 20 friends to read personal appeal at http://h.dpau.org/capital-repairs
  2. Sending Facebook message to 40 acquaintances involved in the arts or education to read http://h.dpau.org/capital-repairs
  3. Update Facebook status http://h.dpau.org/capital-repairs and update status walls for orgs like CVA and Denver Art Museum
  4. Update twitter with http://h.dpau.org/capital-repairs using tags #arteducation and @dpauniv
  5. Telling people in-person to go to http://h.dpau.org/capital-repairs
Just a couple more hours left. I really appreciate your helping us through this final push.

That's all well and good, Sean, but when can we celebrate?

I'm glad you asked. Celebrations tonight 6pm - 9pm at DPAU 734 Santa Fe Dr. If you are free, please stop by and check out our progress, enjoy some free beer+wine and sample our wonderful house jazz band.

Thanks everyone! I'm honored to be a part of this with all of you.

Love,
Sean

People need the arts to join together in common pursuit; we are dedicated to protecting every student's right to free arts instruction, uncensored self-expression, and public domain educational materials. For example, we have a free visual art school for teens in downtown Denver where after-school and Saturday classes are taught by ten volunteer teachers to 15-25 students per ten week class, climaxing at a student show/gala at the end of each semester. Each school is seeking students, teachers, and donors who live in the area, ensuring the school stays open forever. Learn more or donate.
