Introduction
The Music Council @ Denver Public Art University is dedicated to organizing Musicians in the Greater Denver area for the Arts. Our goal is to help support the DPAU mission to provide free art education for our youth right here in Colorado. We are actively seeking musicians, like you, to join the Council in whatever capacity they choose from mentoring a student to fundraising through our Art Out Loud program to becoming an Officer of the Council.

Art Out Loud
Our Art Out Loud program consists of musicians offering a percentage of their proceeds from their events which in turn you will be afforded all the resources and tools you need to promote your event. By working together we can assist each other in almost any capacity to ensure our events are successful.  The Art Out Loud festival is held annually at the end of the summer.  Bands and acts that that are active in the Council will be selected by committee for each festival.

Council Structure
We are currently recruiting Officers to help run the day to day operations of the Music Council. The following Officer positions are available:

• Co-Chair
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• Legal

We are also recruiting for the following positions within the Council:

• Artist Relations (1 seat)
• Design/Creative Direction (1 seat)
• Public Relations- FILLED by Walker Williams
• Community Outreach/Fundraising- FILLED by Day Acoli
• Community Partner Committee (2 seats)
• Art Out Loud Committee (6 seats)
• Production (1 seat)

If you are interested in becoming an Officer or one of the seats available, you can contact the Chairman, Matthew Wilson @ matthe...@dpau.org. Please provide a brief summary of your background & skills along with a condensed resume.  We will review your submission and contact you if we feel you would be a good fit.

Volunteer
Our volunteer program offers you the opportunity to mentor or teach our enrolled students within the program.  You also have the opportunity to work in other capacities that fit your ability and schedule.  Please let us know how you are interested in volunteering within the Music Council @ DPAU.

Sponsor
Our sponsorship program offers you the option of supporting our program by donating to an individual student or an entire class. The funds you commit to will go directly to buy supplies for the students. We will provide progress reports of the student’s success throughout their program.
