Greetings DCPC -
My comments are as past member (term expired APR 2026), Current member of DSDP Clean & Safe Quality of Life Committee (QOL), Downtown Residents Group (DRG) member and resident.
The May 20 DCPC Agenda Action Items B. (Live Entertainment CUP) and D. (Sound level limits) overlap each other. Item B. Is an application outside of the Gaslamp district and is therefore in a residential area unlike the entertainment area associated with the
Gaslamp. I suggest that the lesser Multifamily 55db measurement should apply instead of the nearly 20% higher Commercial/mixed use measurement. The Ordinance hours of operation applicable outside the Gaslamp should also apply re 10 pm Sunday-Monday except
only Sundays before a holiday. The proposal to defer discissions to the City Manager is a mistake prone to abuses without required consideration of CPG input. CPG input should include consideration of multiple applicable community groups within its purview
by elected members representing those communities and in consideration of input received by the member or the CPG at large.
I have no objections to the Draft Annual report included within the 2026 objectives report as a member during the report timeline.
