The Milano Logic Group is thrilled to advertise a postdoc position (one year, renewable) on the project “Quantitative and qualitative approximations of reasoning”.
THE PROJECT
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal applicant will have (or have submitted at the time of applying) a strong PhD in Logic, either in computer science, mathematics or philosophy. Very good knowledge of either probability- or epistemic logics is mandatory. Good command of both is an advantage.
Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to get acquainted with the Logic Group’s style of research, described here and can get a feel for what’s expected from their research by looking at the Group’s recent publications .
The appointed researcher will be expected to contribute to the activities of the Logic Group, to present and publish their results at high-standard conferences and journals.
THE LOGIC GROUP
The selected candidate will join a thriving research group based at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Milan, and will be working under the joint supervision of Marcello D’Agostino, Hykel Hosni and Giuseppe Primiero. In addition, the Logic group comprises two postdoctoral researchers and three PhD students — all working on topics related to this project.

Yes indeed, you can apply provided you send us evidence of submission. Alternatively you may ask your supervisor / Director of graduate studies to send a brief confirmation of your status by email to any of us

A full transcript of your BA/BSc and MA/MSc (or equivalent) with a translation in either Italian or English if the original is not written in either of those languages
