THE NATURE OF THE NORMATIVE – ONTOLOGY, SEMANTICS, LOGIC
international workshop
organized by the Institute of Philosophy, Czech Academy of Sciences
October 16-17 2017, Prague, Villa Lanna
TOPICS
The discussion at the workshop will centre around the following topics:
- the nature of norms/rules
- the normativity of meaning/content – interpretations, controversies
- the inferentialist framework and its limitations
- the role of normativity in human phylo/ontogenesis

A limited number of contributed papers on the workshop’s topic will be accepted for presentation. If you are interested to participate at the workshop please send an abstract (500-1000 words) by September 10, 2017 to the address: svobodav [@] flu.cas.cz
Decisions will be communicated by September 15, 2017.
Part of the workshop should be round table discussing a possible establishing of an international network stimulating a research on the normativity of meaning.
FEE AND ACCOMMODATION
There is no fee for the workshop. Participants presenting a paper will be accommodated at Villa Lanna. The accommodation for up to four days will be covered by the organizer.
