Pessoal,
Walter

Dear Walter
I now have an answer for you about the IGPL papers.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The papers referenced
below are from the special issue for SOCO 2020: 15th International
Conference on Soft Computing Models in Industrial and Environmental
Applications (SOCO 2020).
Clearly there’s a problem with the received and accepted dates on the
website, we’ll look into that with the OUP production team. It could
be that the papers of this issue are still in the Advance Access stage
and have not been fully set up on the OUP website. We can assure you
that these submissions underwent a review process following the
relevant conference and were not received and accepted on the same
day.
Regarding the subject matter. You are correct, as individual journal
submissions, these would be rejected as out of scope. However, for
special issues, we allow much broader scope so as to bring the journal
within the interest of researchers in applied areas who ordinarily
would not pick up a theoretical logic journal. Papers indirectly
related to logic can be accepted if the guest editors recommend them.
The current OUP website doesn’t make this clear, but they are making
some changes to their online publishing system which we hope will help
avoid misunderstandings.
