Topics
The topic of the conference is the relation between explanation, relevance, and logic. More specific topics include:
- logics of explanation,
- explanatory relevance,
- relevance logic,
- grounding,
- truthmaker semantics,
- explanatory proofs,
- hyperintensionality,
- analytic implication,
- logics for connectors like “because”,
- etc.
The central topics may be approached from a purely logical, philosophy of science, epistemological, linguistic or metaphysical perspective. We are open to receiving technical, conceptual, and historical contributions.
Mode
Hybrid mode with a mix of online and in-person talks (but the more in-person talks the better)
Length of talks
Invited speakers give talks of 75 minutes, discussion included. Other speakers give talks of 45 minutes, discussion included.
Submissions
Submitted abstracts are in English and between 500 and 1500 words. Young researchers (PhD students or recent PhDs) and researchers of underrepresented communities are particularly encouraged to submit an abstract.
