We are delighted to announce that pre-registration for the Barcelona Master’s in Pure and Applied Logic<https://web.ub.edu/en/web/estudis/w/masterdegree-m0c0d> (MiPAL) is now open and will remain so until July 10th 2026. MiPAL is a two-year official master’s program jointly offered by the Universitat de Barcelona and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Located in one of Europe’s most dynamic in Europe, MiPAL stands out for the exceptional breadth of its curriculum<https://web.ub.edu/en/web/estudis/w/masterdegree-m0c0d?subjects>, spanning areas such as Set Theory, Computability Theory, Proof Theory, Model Theory, and Non-Classical Logics. This is complemented by a vibrant and internationally connected research atmosphere, with active seminars, visiting scholars, and close interaction between students and faculty, creating an ideal environment for intellectual growth and collaboration.

As a new addition this year, the program will welcome set theorists Jeffrey Bergfalk and Alejandro Poveda to the faculty. Students with a particular interest in Set Theory are therefore strongly encouraged to apply.

The 2026-2028 edition of the two-year Master in Pure and Applied Logic jointly organized by the University of Barcelona (UB) and the Polytechnical University of Catalunya (UPC) is now open for pre-registration. Most central aspects of advanced logic are covered, including Set Theory, Computability Theory, Model Theory, Non-Classical Logics and Proof Theory.

Students who are confident that this is the best master for their interests and career are encouraged to apply directly. You can also express your interest informally by sending a message explaining your background, motivation, and CV to the email address maste...@ub.edu.
The master coordination will help you evaluate your chances to get accepted and the adequacy of the master given your interests and plans.
