In June we are organising the 9th edition of the World Congress on the Square of Opposition in Montréal, Canada, after editions in Montreux, Corsica, Beirut, Vatican, Easter Island, Crete, Leuven, Costa Rica...
One of the most challenging series of events I have created
The edition at the AUB in Beirut was important to me,
because my good friend David Makinson was the director of the dept of philosophy there
he left after the president of the university was assassinated
and later on I met his wife Ann Kerr at UCLA who was in charge of the Fulbright program there
Today we have the presentation with Julio Stern of the book
New Articulations of the Theory of Oppositions

... then Ann Kerr invited me for lunch, smart lady for sure
Later on she organized  a trip for all Fulbrigth grantees of UCLA to Palm Spring,
a nice resort, west of LA. We had a stop at an indigenous place. And one lady  wanted to thank an indigenous woman who was at the shop when going out and she kindly asked her how to say "Thank you" in her own language, the woman replied to her that there was not such a word in her own language.
There is a song by Elton John saying that sorry is the hardest word to say, on the contrary I think it is one of the easiest words to say. All the time people say "sorry," or "thank you"
