This is the 9th edition of the World Congress on the Square of Opposition after very successful previous editions in Montreux, Switzerland 2007; Corte, Corsica 2010; Beirut, Lebanon 2012; Vatican, 2014; Easter Island, 2016; Crete, 2018; Leuven, Belgium 2022; San Jose, Costa Rica, 2024.
SQUARE is a unique interdisciplinary event bringing together logicians, philosophers, mathematicians, semioticians, computer scientists, artists, to explore the many facets of the Square of Opposition and its modern developments.
Topics include (but are not limited to):
- Classical and non-classical squares
- Logical geometry (hexagons, cubes, beyond)
- Philosophical and historical perspectives
- Applications in cognition, language, and AI
- Interdisciplinary and creative approaches
