Conference Support -- Call for Applications
=================================================
The Executive Committee of the IUHPST / DLMPST invites applications from members to support conferences that will take place during 2024-2025. The maximum amount that IUHPST / DLMPST can supply to support a conference is $1,000 US. A brief letter of application should be sent to the Secretary General, Eleonora Cresto <secretary-general at
dlmpst.org>, describing the subject of the conference, the names of speakers, an estimate of the number of people attending, and an indication of how much money is requested and what that money will be used for. The Executive Committee prefers to support conferences that
1. will have a multi-national group of participants.
2. will include the participation of younger scholars.
3. will include the participation of individuals from outside of Europe and North America.
4. will use video-conferencing technology in addition to having participants travel to the conference site.
These preferences are not requirements; they are desiderata.
Deadlines:
(i) Proposals for conferences to be held in the remainder of this year, from September 15 to December 31, will be considered on a rolling basis.
(ii) The deadline for receipt of proposals for conferences to be held in 2025 is December 1, 2024.
In order to be eligible, an application needs to be supported by one of the member organizations of IUHPST / DLMPST. Conferences whose main organizer is a member of the executive committee of the IUHPST / DLMPST are not eligible for funding.
