The 1st World Logic Prizes Contest took place at UNILOG 2018 in Vichy, France. The papers presented at this contest were published in a special issue of Logica Universalis: vol.12, issue 3-4, 2018.
The winner was Ivan Varzinczak, participant of the contest as the Winner of the Louis Couturat Logic Prize for France, with the paper "A Description Logic of Concept and Role Typicality for Defeasible Reasoning Over Ontologies."
The winner was Ciro Russo, participant of the contest as the Winner of the Newton da Costa Logic Prize for Brazil, with the paper "Coproduct and amalgamation of deductive systems by means of ordered algebras."
Among new prizes for the 3rd edition of the contest we have:
- Jaakko Hintikka Logic Prize for Finland
- Christine Ladd-Franklin Logic Prize for the USA
- Gregorio Klimovsky Logic Prize for Argentina
