Dear Colleagues
The coordination of the World Logic Day is not in the hands of CIPSH, and CIPSH is not UNESCO, or a department of UNESCO.
One long time friend of mine, who was working at UNESCO for many years, learning about the behavior of CIPSH wrote to me: "They have stolen your baby,".
Really ???
I launched the World Logic Day January 14, 2019
https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11787-019-00221-5
and it was recognized by UNESCO the same year, through the Brazilian ambassador, that I visited in Paris in April 2019 see

I drew the flag of the World Logic Day  directly inspired by the Esperanto flag:
The idea of Zamenhof was to bring peace and unity among all human beings.
This is what is worth, especially at this time of divisions and wars.
What we have to search for is what brings all human beings together, independently of the color of their skins, their languages, their religious practices, the food they are eating, the clothes they are wearing and so on. Logic is a key for that.
About graphic design, I am promoting the use of images in philosophy since  more than15 years:
and the design of the flag of the World Logic Day was based in particular on the following paper:
I am working on paraconsistent logic since many years and for the 5th World Congress on Paraconsistent logic I was organizing with a friend of mine, Mihir Chakraborty, in Kolkata India,
I organized the contest  "Picturing Contradiction", you can see one outcome of it here:
"Being Aware of Rational Animals" (page 12, section 6. Sexual Animals)

Happy World Logic Day to all  !

UNESCO has proclaimed January 14th as World Logic Day, a global day dedicated to supporting the development of logic through teaching, research, and public dissemination of the discipline. To this end, many events are happening around the world. See https://wld.cipsh.international/wld2025.html
for an overview.

The coordination of World Logic Day 2025 is - for the fifth time - in the hands of the Conseil International de Philosophie et des Sciences Humaines (CIPSH) and its member organization, the Division for Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science and Technology of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (DLMPST/IUHPST):

Let's also start thinking about the celebrations in 2026! We invite you to organize a workshop, talk, or other event celebrating the next World Logic Day - January 14, 2026. Let's make it a vibrant and inclusive celebration. World Logic Day is what we make of it. You can register your event to be part of the official list of events!

Additionally there will be a
WORLD LOGIC DAY GRAPHIC DESIGN CHALLENGE To celebrate World Logic Day 2026 (again on January 14)

Logic, traditionally seen as the domain of pure thought and reason, is notoriously difficult to visualise.
Finding ways to express the most fundamental laws that govern the human process of reasoning without words and in pictures is a true challenge: we should love to see your attempts to overcome it.

The theme of World Logic Day 2026 will be "Logic & Diversity" and we would be particularly happy with submissions that focus on aspects that fit with the theme, e.g., the question of whether there is one true logic or several, the question whether logical systems can be in conflict with each other, etc.
We encourages creative interpretations, reflecting on how logic interacts with the rich tapestry of diverse cultures, perspectives, and ideas.

In order to participate in your WLD Graphic Design Challenge, please submit a one-page A4 file with a visualisation of logic or a particular logical phenomenon that works with as few words as possible by June 30, 2025.
You may accompany your graphic design with a brief verbal description of your design (at most 200 words).

Your graphic designs will play a role at World Logic Day 2026 on 14 January 2026:
We expect to include selected submission on the WLD website, organise an exhibition of selected submissions, and invite the winner of the WLD Graphic Design Challenge to a workshop in Europe (pending funding).

Further Details:

Deadline: June 30, 2025
Announcement of Selected Works: Late 2025
