Please see below a workshop and a webinar that may be of interest.

  1. The Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) is hosting ‘An International workshop on ethics and innovation policy for research assessment: Best practices for data and AI’ in Ulaanbaatar this Wednesday 13 November 2024; 15:00 to 17:00 ULAT (Ulaanbaatar time); 7:00 to 9:00 am UTC 8:00 to 10:00 am CET (Brussels time), 2:00 to 4:00 am EST (Washington, DC time). Please see the attached programme with the agenda. The workshop will be held in person and online. You can register via this Zoom registration link.
  2. This Thursday 14 November 2024, from 11:00-12:30 noon UTC, as part of the Ethical Data Discussion Series (a collaborative project between the Association of African Universities, the University of Nottingham and The Ethical Data Initiative [EDI]), a webinar is organized on ‘Building Resilient Education Systems through Responsible Research and Innovation’. This webinar is developed in support of the African Union’s designation of 2024 as the ‘Year of Education’, under the theme under the theme ‘Educate and Skill African for the 21st Century’, with the support of UNICEF. This webinar will explore how ethical data and research practices can enhance access to inclusive, lifelong, and quality learning across Africa. It looks at strategies for responsible research governance to address the educational challenges posed by digitization and the potential for capacity development.
