Dear participants,
After the last biweekly meeting with Francis, Sergio and Bence, we have prepared the document containing comments for the community review of the RDA Trusted Research Environments for Sensitive or Confidential Data WG proposal.

Please find the document here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1z32qLm0Rd06Nl--Jp2xDlpXMaEjjznxf3dtu9TktxNM/edit and do not hesitate to add your ideation and thoughts.

I think we have to react to events like this, as it affects the scientific data community, especially the large-scale research facilities, and of course, all the scientists interested in decentralised technologies.

We do not have too much time - the review deadline is the 14th of September.

Dear Andrei and everyone,

Thank you for this note. I appreciate you bringing to my attention this new RDA BoF/WG on FAIRness for Controlled Data and Processes. I read through the comments in the link below to Bence’s and Andrei’s comments. They are excellent. As I mentioned earlier, I responded on my own as our ESOC-Future/RDA AIDW-WG was mentioned. I hope this is ok for everyone. It is only because of you that I saw it.

Also this, should you be interested:

This upcoming joint webinar might be of interest: “Ethics and integrity for AI in research”, co-organised by the EU Scientific Advice Mechanism, ALLEA, and CoARA-ERIP (and hosted by SAPEA) on Tuesday 10 September, 14:00-15:30 CEST (Brussels time). The webinar is based on this European Commission Report. In the webinar we will examines two fundamental questions in preparing research ecosystems for AI: (1) How might AI be employed to advance fundamental values and commitments in research and science-communication? and (2) How can research practices in this new digital environment be assessed? The CoARA-ERIP contribution is linked to the deliverables we have achieved in the EOSC-Future/RDA Artificial Intelligence & Data Visitation (AIDV) Working Group. For further information and registration: Ethics and integrity for AI in research – Scientific Advice Mechanism.

Kind regards,

Francis
