Dear participants,

After our very inspiring last meeting, we received Bence's essential and interesting recap, containing many points and questions. Please refer to the dedicated section in the Agenda document to learn more. Among other things, it also contains the following questions that I want to highlight:

What is the level we are working on / important for goal setting and communications aspect:
  • Data practices/Data methodology
  • Standards of Meta-Data
  • Software Interface
  • Storage and Database
It can not be everything at the same time, that is almost impossible to get done - there has to be a specific focal point/points that we can work towards and can then also be communicated properly. It will remain the biggest challenge to balance all perspectives (Open Science, FAIR, CARE, DeSci), but this necessitates even more of a very well-defined focus on what to work on.

I want to kindly invite everyone to the conceptual discussion we should keep now. From my point of view, we should keep our eyes on Data Practices and Software Interface points.

Also, I recovered the old idea of the "knowledge packages" I once presented in EXPANDS, and I think, we could use some entities and recursive models from this concept in our developments: https://zenodo.org/records/4737497

Please participate in the discussion here or in the dedicated Mattermost thread: https://mattermost.twdragon.net/decentralised-pid-working-group/pl/n11b1wd733dbfme1u3u9pcbu3c
