Dear PID-enthusiast,
Following our hold the date email about PIDfest 2026 (October 27-29, Leiden, The Netherlands), we’re delighted to invite you to submit a session proposal for the conference.
Our theme this year is Keeping Knowledge Connected, and the programme will be organised around three themes:
We want to hear from a mix of voices, experiences, and formats, and we welcome proposals from anyone who is using – or planning to use – PIDs, wherever you are on your PID journey. We’re aiming for a range of session formats, including short talks, panels, workshops, “birds of a feather” sessions, interactive presentations, lightning talks, and posters, and if you have an idea that doesn’t fit neatly into one of these formats, we’d still love to hear about it. We may even be able to connect you with other interested groups with whom you share a synergy and potential for a successful session.
The Call for Proposals is open through March 22. All submissions will then be anonymised and reviewed by the Programme Committee, who aim to contact everyone about their decisions by April 30.
We’ve put together a brief writing guide for proposals with ideas on how to pitch your session, and you can find more information about the conference and the Call for Proposals on our website.
We look forward to receiving your session proposals!
Kind regards,
The PIDfest team
