We welcome original research contributions that advance the theory and practice of IR, including:
Research papers: Theoretical or empirical studies
Resource papers: Datasets, tools, and benchmarks
Reproducibility papers: Re-implementations or re-evaluations of prior work
Industry papers: Practical IR deployments and real-world challenges
Perspective papers: Critical analyses or novel visions
SIGIR-RR Submissions:
A special track for revised and resubmitted papers that were not accepted at SIGIR 2025, with an author response document explaining changes made in response to SIGIR reviews.

Core IR: Retrieval models, ranking, indexing, web search, evaluation
Recommender systems: Algorithms, evaluation, interactive recommendation
Machine learning & NLP for IR: LLMs, generative IR, retrieval-augmented generation
Conversational and interactive IR: Dialogue systems, session-based search
Human factors: User modeling, interfaces, behavior analysis
Evaluation methodologies: Offline/online, user-centered, simulation-based
Societal impacts: Fairness, ethics, bias, transparency
Multimodal and domain-specific IR: Multimedia, healthcare, legal, education
Industrial IR: Scalable systems, deployment challenges, user trust and safety
We particularly encourage submissions that share resources and support reproducibility.
