Hi Dartisans,

We've moved our (unsupported) plugins for TextMate/Sublime/Vim/Emacs into Github: https://github.com/dart-lang/text-editor-plugins-for-dart

We did this to encourage community contributions and to raise awareness. We can't formally support them but we're hoping by putting these projects out there, others can find them useful and help maintain them.

Hope that helps,
Seth

Hi Seth,

Would it be possible to have a separate repo for each? The reason for this is that, as far as I know, git doesn't like cloning sub-directories which means you have to clone the entire repo. A nice way to keep up with the latest versions of the syntax for sublime (I believe it would be similar for vim) is to clone the repo into the sublime packages directory. As it is now, it would bring syntaxes for the other editors with it which is a bit messy. Also if you had specific repo for sublime you could submit that to the Sublime package control which is a really nice way for new users to discover it. With SVN this wasn't an issue because you could just point to a sub-directory.

Cheers,
Keith

+1, they really should live in separate repos.

If the official Dart editor supported color themes, and more colourful syntax highlighting, the need for alternatives would be less pressing.

And that would help the Dart project a lot.

I do not think that the syntax highlighting is the main reason for the alternatives.
I also don't believe that it is "a pressing need" that makes users look for the alternatives.
Some people simply _want_ to work in their favorite editor and not being "pressed" into a (reduced or not) eclipse environment.
So working on the mentioned editor files is not an either/or regarding Dart editor.

Can do!

New repos:

The old github repo has been deleted. The emacs plugin is back in the main SVN repo.

Pull requests welcome! :)

Thanks,
Seth
