Why Dart is named as 'Dart'?

This is something very elementary question.

my friend ask me , "why named dart? is that a kind of game? "

Where does the name come from?

but I couldn't find the answer :/

It was originally called "Dash". The team had to change the name due to some potential confusion. "Dart" was similar and as a verb means "to move quickly", similar to "dash".
