Dear Dart hacker

I'm pleased to announce that the M1 release of Dart is ready. You can as usual download the Dart Editor from dartlang.org. This release is a more stable and comprehensive version of Dart.
Moving forward, we'll mainly focus on performance and completeness without introducing breaking changes to the Dart programming language.

Thanks for your early support and being part of our community. Your feedback is guiding most of our development so please keep it coming.

Thanks on behalf of the Dart team,
  Lars Bak, Software engineer Google

Congratulations!

This is a huge step for the language, and for the web platform.

Well done to the whole Dart team! It is fascinating to watch a modern programming language evolve at such speed and with such openness.

Is this production ready? When do you think 1.0 will be out?

Great work!!

Thank you for pushing hard for innovation in the web space. If you can deliver on the 10x startup goal, you will really put pressure on the, "javascript is good enough" camp. Especially in the mobile space.

Thanks for this awesome work!

Cant wait to see what the same badass V8 team, can make with a static
type language in terms of performance :)

This message means I'll be busy now! For the documents of Chinese translation!

Chinese documentation?

I can translate to Finnish, but how do I start?

You may not want to start translating just yet. We will try to
minimize changes to the language moving forward, but expect a lot of
changes to our libraries (including documentation).

Cheers,
Peter

Emm...The Dart Specification and the tour shouldn't change too much, right?

Short answer: Dart will be production ready when we ship version 1.0.

Unfortunately, we don't have a timeline for version 1.0, all I can say
is that it will ship when it is ready. Next step for us is to ship M2.

Cheers,
Peter

Congratulations to everyone who participated, and especially to Google for achieving M1 incredibly quickly.  The amount of code that's been generated is astounding.

I can't wait to see where Dart goes next :)

Cheers,
Shane
