The Spec wasn't written in tablets of stone on a mountain top.

The Spec wasn't transcribed from the words of an Angel.

The Spec isn't a black monolith hastening the evolution of worshipful code monkeys.

The Spec isn't the Necronomicon filled with ancient secrets.

The Spec isn't The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism revealing hidden truths.

The Spec is the work of mortals for a God that failed. It can be amended and even ignored (whilst keeping the loyalty of the few existing cult members).

+1 for originality, theology and for questioning dogmas.

(I would still question a tablet of stone written on a mountain top)

Ah meta...

Some say The Spec is a Borgean meta-philosophical conceit designed to induce infinite ruminations on the eternal dualism of the Static and Dynamic.

Others (uncharitably) argue The Spec is an employment program for the High Priests who alone can fathom it's mysteries.

Others (even more uncharitably) believe The Spec is part of an elaborate Eurozone tax avoidance scam centred in Denmark inspired by The Producers.

Did you by any chance hear about the recent 6.2E9 DKK tax scandal in Denmark? Avoiding taxes in Denmark may not be as hard as one would think.  ;-D

Honest Danes seem shocked by this.

The avoidance of conclusively addressing 'var'/'dynamic' with the general ambiguity surrounding type annotations is of issue (for those of us who are interested in the potential of Flutter).
