Build Dart SDK for RHEL 6.5 on Ubuntu 14.04

Hello Dartisans,

I am trying to build a version of the Dart SDK for RHEL 6.5 where we only have glibc 2.12 available. I have all the sources and have my machine (Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit) set up to build for Ubuntu 14.04 and Raspberry Pi. I cannot find out how to change the glibc version to link in to the final executable and was hoping someone could help me out.

So I managed to find this wiki entry to build for other OS's like CentOS. However the depot_tools don't work on those old OS's anymore. I have filed an issue at dartbug.com even though this is a depot_tools issue.
