Hello BARS Members,

Field Day 2026 is almost here, and we're looking for a little help from everyone to make it another successful event!

Before we get to the remaining needs, I want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who has already volunteered, signed up for operating time, offered to help with setup, or responded to the dinner RSVP. The enthusiasm and support from our members is what makes BARS Field Day such a great event year after year.

Operators Needed

We are still looking for operators for our Phone, CW, and Digital stations throughout the event. Whether you can operate for one hour or several, your participation is welcome and appreciated.

If you would like to operate, please add your name to the shared Field Day Operator Sign-Up Spreadsheet. This helps us ensure all stations are staffed and gives everyone an opportunity to get on the air.

No Field Day experience is required. Experienced operators will be available to assist and mentor anyone who would like to learn or make contacts for the first time.

Antenna Setup Volunteers Needed

We could also use a few more volunteers to assist with antenna setup. Many hands make light work, and even an hour of help can make a big difference.

If you are available to assist with setup, please reply to this email so we can include you in our planning.

Dinner RSVP Reminder

The club will be providing a catered BBQ dinner on Saturday evening.

If you have not already done so, please reply with:

  • Dinner Attendance: Yes or No
  • If attending, total number attending (including family members)
  • Whether you plan to bring a dessert to share

Examples:

  • Dinner Attendance: Yes | Attending: 2 | Dessert: Yes
  • Dinner Attendance: Yes | Attending: 1 | Dessert: No
  • Dinner Attendance: No

Please reply even if you do not plan to attend dinner. Knowing who will and will not be joining us helps us order the correct amount of food and manage club expenses responsibly.

Desserts are completely optional, but if you plan to bring one to share, please let us know so we can plan accordingly. If needed, the club will supplement with additional desserts.

Thank you for helping make BARS Field Day 2026 a success!

73,

Karen E Jacobi - K4KZF
