Welcome to the Information Security News mailing list operated from the University of Minnesota Duluth!

The primary purpose of this list is as a way to disseminate timely links to current events or thought-provoking articles about information security. We will try to send out the newsletter every Tuesday, and possibly send out emails at other times if there is some really urgent news.

The membership list for this group is not shown for privacy reasons. Everyone is welcome to post. However, f you do post, it will include your name and potentially your email address. In any case, please do not abuse the list. If you are unsure of whether something is worth posting, send it to infosec-editors@d.umn.edu  we can discuss it.

This newsletter is part of the "assigned reading" for students in CS 4821 (Computer Security) at UMD, but, because it is not directly linked to a class, will persist across semesters. This way, you can continue to benefit from the content even once the class (or even your time at UMD) is over. This list also serves as a repository of interesting security material for reference or use in Computer Security education.

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please let me know.

Thanks!

Peter
