SUNDAY SERVICE

Onsite & Online ~  10 am

Reverend Nica Eaton & Ayanna Gaines

Thanksgiving: The Whole Story

Join us for a Thanksgiving service that goes beyond the traditional story. We'll delve into the rich history of this land, honoring Indigenous Peoples who have inhabited it for over 10,000 years. We'll explore land acknowledgements and share in our traditional communal bread ceremony. We will gather after services for our annual ‘breaking bread’ event.  Let’s set the tone for a meaningful Thanksgiving week with gratitude and respect.

Newcomers - We would like to invite people who have recently begun attending our services to meet Reverend Nica Eaton. We hope you will join her after service upstairs in the Nest in Fellowship Hall to say hello!

Chalice Lighting

To start your day, a meeting, or before a meal

For the joyful,

May jubilant songs

Echo in our hearts

Well beyond fading memories.

For the sorrowful,

May gentle songs of solace

Bring lasting healing

To our hearts and minds.

For the angry,

May we join our voices together

In songs of protest and hope.

For the mindful,

May we sing the praises

Of earth’s beauty

And honor the unique songs of all beings.

For all of us here in our community,

And our world,

May we sing to the morning and evening stars

As they guide our journeys.

We light our chalice today to repair our relationships to allow in the healing necessary for us to be inspired for the work of love we need to do always.

~ Bernadette R Burns

Cottage Conversations: What does our future look like?

We are planning our future together with Cottage Conversations in January. These gatherings will help us explore where we are and where we want to go, especially in light of current global circumstances and our financial situation. We hope you'll mark your calendar now before the holiday rush.

Please plan to attend one of these sessions. Either:

Sun. Jan. 12th at 12 noon in person at Chalice

Wed. Jan. 15th at 6pm on Zoom

Thur. Jan. 16th at 7pm on Zoom

Wed. Jan. 22th at 2pm in person at Chalice

Afterwards we will consolidate all we know and learn. Then on February 2nd at our Mid-year meeting after service, we will share outcomes and plan our future together.

Let us know which session you’d like to attend at:
