SUNDAY SERVICE

Onsite & Online ~  10 am

Reverend Nica Eaton

Why Unitarian Universalism Matters

In a time when society is becoming more secular and polarized, we may wonder why our faith matters? What gifts does Unitarian Universalism offer that make it worth showing up, belonging, and participating? This Sunday we’ll explore these questions as we joyfully welcome new members into our community. Together we’ll reflect on how our UU values, mission, and community create a place of light, love, justice, and deep connection, offering a home for the soul in challenging times.

The registration link below will allow you to register for the service with your preferred email address. A service link will then be sent to that email. This service link will be active 5 minutes prior to the service. As an added benefit, you’ll be sent a recording of the service after it is done streaming!

From embracing Zionism as a Holocaust survivor to becoming a vocal critic of Israeli policies, renowned author and doctor Gabor Maté reflects on the evolution in his thinking, on trauma as a driving force behind Zionism and Israel, and on how collective Jewish trauma has been exploited by Israel to justify its war in Gaza.

Chalice Lighting

image.jpeg

To start your day, a meeting, or before a meal

We gather as newcomers and longtime friends, all seeking connection, meaning, and hope.

In a world that feels divided and often lonely, we light this chalice as a sign of the welcome we offer and the love that guides our way.

May this small flame remind us why Unitarian Universalism matters…

because here we can be our true selves,

grow in kindness,

and work together toward a more just and loving world.

~ Reverend Nica Eaton
