Sharing on behalf of Matilda at CUBC.
Dear All,
I hope you are all well. I am Matilda Horn, Assistant Women's Coach at CUBC, Olympic Cox, and WOX mentor.
Hope
it is ok to message, I just wanted to let you know about WOXCON, a
national coxing conference created by coxes, for coxes - and to invite
Cambridge’s coxing community to come along.
The
event is part of The Winning Cox, a not-for-profit community founded to
support, educate and connect coxes at every stage of their journey.
WOXCON
is run by Autumn Mantell (ex CUBC Coach, World Medallist, BMS Alum),
Zoë de Toledo (senior umpire and Olympic Silver medallist), Morgan
Baynham Williams (World Champion and now Coach), Erin Kennedy (2x
Paralympic Champion), and myself. Together, we’ve built a day packed
with practical workshops, inspiring talks and chances to connect with
other coxes from across the UK. Sessions cover everything from racing
and communication to leadership, confidence, and wellbeing – all focused
on helping coxes grow both on and off the water.
The
event is suitable for everyone - from complete novices to experienced
senior coxes. It will take place on Sunday 23rd November at Leander Club
in Henley-on-Thames, and the ticket price includes lunch and
refreshments throughout the day.
We
really want WOXCON to be accessible to all coxes, so if anyone is keen
to attend but cost is a barrier, please do get in touch – we’re very
happy to offer subsidised places where needed.
If
possible, please could you share the details with your members or
include it in your next newsletter? We’d love to welcome some Cambridge
coxes to join us in Henley!

Thanks so much, and hope to see some familiar faces at the event.
