Notes from the Umpires

  • Thank you all for your patience during a day of many sirens and re-rows!
  • Bank parties should be aware of the low hanging foliage on the towpath which is much narrower than usual.

Fines

  • Caius O2 - dangerous coxing - £50
  • Christ's W2 - failure to hold it upon upon bumping - £15
  • Churchill O2 - failure to stop at railway bridge - £30
  • Clare W1 - slow to row on upon being bumped - £25
  • Corpus W1 - very slow to clear - £40
  • Corpus O2 - borrowing a cox box - bring reward wine to FaT O3
  • Emmanuel W1 - pushed off before last racing crew - £25
  • Emmanuel W4 - late to concede - £15
  • Homerton O2 - failure to clear - £30
  • Jesus W5 - dangerous coxing, saved from hitting a stationary crew by hitting the bank first - £50
  • Jesus W6 cox - fantastic boat management at marshalling - commendation
  • Jesus Marshal - arriving two hours early - excellent keenness
  • Lucy Cavendish - failure to provide a marshal - £15
  • Lucy Cavendish - failure to provide a marshal (in addition to the above) - £30
  • Magdalene W1 - very slow to clear - £40
  • Magdalene O2 - abject failure to clear, caused checkmate - £50
  • Newnham W3 - holding it up upon being being bumped - £50
  • Peterhouse O1 - running bankparty - £50
  • Peterhouse O1 - running bankparty, in addition to the above - £50
  • Pembroke O3 - poor clearing - £20
  • Peterhouse W3 - incompetent marshalling - £15
  • Peterhouse O4 - foul language - £75
  • Queens' W3 - failure to row on upon being bumped - £50
  • Robinson O3 - failure to row on upon being bumped - £30
  • Sidney Sussex O3 - excessive celebration ‘like they’d just won Henley’ - save some happiness for the rest of the river.
  • Selwyn O1 - dropped bung no advantage - £15
  • Trinity Hall O2 - failure to stop at railway bridge - £30
