We invite all college coxes to sign up to The Winning Cox’s free upcoming Webinar "Bumping Bangers - How to survive rowing's wildest racing format” which is specifically aimed at coxes who will be racing in May Bumps or Summer Eights this year. The webinar will not replace your coxing briefing, which will focus on May Bumps specifically (primarily safety and logistics) and instead try to help coxes level up their calls, strategy and confidence as they prepare to race bumps.

WOX Mentor Erin Kennedy (recent cox of an Oxford Headship crew) will be joined by fellow Mentor Morgan Baynham-Williams (who previously coached Keble College, Oxford) along with a few special guests from the Cambridge and Oxford college rowing scene to discuss a wide range of topics that will be hugely useful to any cox racing bumps, whether they are new to the format or not.

The webinar will be very fun and lighthearted, whilst also providing a lot of valuable information... such as how to get the best out of your crew on any given day, how to manage the unpredictability of the race and what you can do to manage everyone’s energy over multiple days of racing. We will also learn from a number of success stories and have a look (and a giggle at a few bumps disasters over the years) to help you to head into racing as well prepared as possible to bring your A game.

The webinar is scheduled for 12th May at 7pm - if you can’t make this time, please still sign up using the link and be the first to receive the webinar recording.

All the best,
Matilda Horn
