With apologies for the delay getting this out to you, the results of Wednesday's racing are available at https://www.cucbc.org/mays.
Notes from the Umpires
Practice starts are not allowed anywhere except the plough. You may start rowing from front stops from marshalling only if you do not delay following the crew ahead.
Please count down from 10 seconds at the plough, to ensure we can move through divisions on time.
When you bump the crew ahead, all rowers need to hold it up, firmly, until separation is achieved between the boats - multiple crews today made efforts to hold it up, but without sufficient commitment or duration to actually separate the boats.
As the towpath gets increasingly busy (especially towards the later half of tomorrow and Saturday) please can all bank parties ensure they take care to avoid other towpath users and spectators. Clubs, please ensure this is communicated to bank parties.
The UV index is very high today, particularly for the first four divisions. Please ensure all marshals, crew members and bank parties have sufficient water, sunhats and suncream. Crews are welcome and encouraged to seek shade whilst waiting at marshaling, but please respond promptly when asked to return to your boats.
