Notes from the Umpires

• Handheld filming rules also apply on the row down and the row home.
• Bank parties should carry additional water rather than it being poured into the river. It is important that crews have water available at all times.
• Umpires please don’t wear rucksacks over your high-vis and completely obscure it, it makes it really difficult to tell who is an umpire.
• Two large bins are available for any litter at Grassy (or anyone heading back upstream around Grassy). They don’t fit all the way to the towpath, so are located approximately 10m up the footpath which leaves the river from the middle of Grassy corner. Please ensure all litter is properly disposed of or taken home.
• Bungs should be held as high as practical and certainly above the waterline. If we can’t see it, you might as well not be holding it .
• Running bank parties are not allowed due to the danger of obstruction. Further offenses will incur fines.
