Dear Captains, Coxes and Boatmen,
Having had many CUCBC Committee members down the river this morning, we want to reemphasise the rule that boats pushing off in the first fifteen minutes after lighting down must maintain full slide, full crew, *continuous* paddling where there is space in front of them. Too many crews were also either very slow to set off after pushing off, or leaving too much space to the boat in front. If you have any adjustments to make to the setup, please do this *before* pushing off.
*Moreover*: From Monday 2 February we are introducing the 15 Minute Rule:
Only first eights and boats in the 1st Lents Division may boat within the first 15 minutes
after Lighting Down or after the allowed boating time on Saturdays and
Sundays. All other crews may boat 15 minutes after Lighting Down.
Please communicate this with all your rowers, coxes and coaches.
Best wishes,
Luke Barratt
