Dear All,
The results of Wednesday's racing have been updated and can be found: here
The notes and fines for Wednesday can be found below, and here.

Notes from the Umpires

  • Clearing today was generally excellent for lents, with a number of crews making very quick, sensible decisions. More of the same for the rest of the week please!
  • Bank parties must ensure that their bikes are clear of the towpath when their crews have bumped out. Failure to do so will result in fines going forwards.
  • Similarly, Crews should ensure blades are clear of the towpath at all times when stopped i.e. Marshalling, on station and when bumped out.
  • Timings are tight in Lents and we were running behind for much of today. To ensure efficient racing, please can people turn up to marshalling on time, push off promptly when told or behind the crew in front, and ensure starts at the plough are timed from 10 seconds or less.
  • A reminder that handheld filming is strictly forbidden in bumps. Handlebar or helmet mounts are much cheaper than the fines we will issue!
  • Bank parties and coxes should watch and listen for umpires awarding bumps, not just for a concession which may not come!
  • Crews should be reminded that they are responsible for their bank party's action and size, and brief them appropriately.
