Emma Sprints 25 Message to Other River Users

Dear River User,

This is to inform you that we will running Emmanuel Sprints Regatta again this year on Sunday the 23rd of November in a similar format. We are hugely thankful for the understanding and cooperation of our fellow river users during this annual event. 

Racing starts at 09:00 until around 16:30, and will run from a standing start at the bottom of the Plough Reach to the 500m mark on the Long Reach and back again. Marshalling will take place in two areas: between the P&E and the Railway Bridge, and between Ditton and First Post Reach (to ensure crews can spin at the downstream end of the event whilst avoiding collisions with moored boats). Therefore, the river will be occupied for racing between Plough Reach to the 500m mark on the Long Reach between 08:30 to 16:30. 

We wish to minimise disruption to other river and towpath users. We will have marshals at either end of the racing section. In order to facilitate navigation through this section, we have designated times for pre-approved (see action required below) users to pass through the racing course.
