Dear All,
The results of Wednesday's racing have been updated and can be found: here
The notes and fines for Wednesday can be found below, and here.

Notes from the Umpires

  • There has been some confusion regarding the finishes for M5 division. The first three crews in M5 division row to top finish, and the fourth crew has the choice of top/bottom finish. This was highlighted in the coxes’ briefing.
  • There have been multiple cycling incidents today. Bank party must cycle carefully and be mindful of umpires overtaking and overtaking umpires. Umpires will be moving to ensure clear line of sight to adjudicate.
  • Bank party must be aware the towpath is public, and be mindful of the other users.
  • The bank is overgrown and has not been maintained. Coxes clearing must be aware of where the bank is and how they are going to park: pointing bows into the bank and hoping is not a good strategy.
  • Crews must know where they are marshalling, and bank party should aid in this through discussion with marshals.
  • Crews rowing home after being bumped out must stop at the railway bridge to allow the next division to push off. This has caused delay today.
  • Practice starts must be started off from “10” at the plough, and fines will be levied for those ignoring this instruction.
  • Please can all polers be careful when poling out crews. Two poles have already been lost and another damaged. The running of bumps is compromised if further such damage/loss occurs this week.
