Outlook: The river level continues to fall and the stream has substantially lessened since the weekend. Only boat if you are comfortable with boating based on the conditions; coxes should feel empowered to overrule their coaches and rowers in deciding not to go out of they don't feel safe.

If you do go out, take into account the effect of the higher than normal stream round corners; spin further upstream from the weir than you would normally allow yourself; and maintain a greater distance between yourself and other crews. When stationary, you will drift and so make sure to take appropriate taps and backing down strokes to avoid getting too close to other crews which will also be drifting and adjusting. Do not perform 'aggressive' overtakes when you and other boats have less control of steering.

Outlook: River levels back higher than yesterday and stream strong. Please seriously evaluate your own crew's safety boating in these conditions.

There are hints the river level and stream is falling, but we're far from green conditions as of now.

Outlook: The river level and stream are starting to return to promising levels, but still not quite there (plus unfortunately plenty of rain forecast...)

Moreover, the winds have picked up and are expected to be substantial all day.

*Please* for the safety of your own as well as other crews on the river leave plenty of space between your own boat and others in these adverse conditions, especially towards Baitsbite.

Outlook: Stream is strong and river is high - definitely a day for wellies and spare socks. Conditions to be reassessed at 11.30am and Lents Getting on Race status confirmed at that point. GoR racing crews will be permitted to boat but only if they feel safe, as per CUCBC email earlier in the week.

As per email from CUCBC Safety Officer: The river level and stream are such that we do not feel we can safely run the Getting on Race this afternoon, and it is therefore cancelled. All crews entered will receive a full refund.
