Dear all,

The results of Lent Bumps 2026 so far can be found here. The notes and fines for Thursday can be found below, and here.

Notes from the Umpires

  • More care must be taken by cyclists. Members of the public and the medics have been hit by cyclists in multiple incidents. Cyclists must be more respectful of other towpath users. We do not have towpath closure and there is no one way traffic. If we cannot respect the towpath as a shared space, we cannot run bumps. We will ban people from the towpath if they behave dangerously or cause an incident. We will also bring in further restrictions on bank party numbers if necessary.
  • For coxes clearing, once you've picked a direction to clear, generally stick to your guns. Changing your mind is both unpredictable and slower for the crews behind you to get past.
  • Rain is potentially forecast, mudguards advised!
  • If you count from more than 10 at the Plough, it will be fined from Friday onwards.
