Hi College Crews,
I am writing to invite your clubs to take part in this year's Cambridge
Autumn Regatta, on Sunday 8th September, hosted by Cambridge '99s.
Entries are now open, and all college rowers are welcome: novices,
seniors, alumni and composite crews. Events will run across all
categories from juniors to masters.
This friendly side-by-side 550m race is a great end to the summer
sprints season. It is the only race on the Cam run from stakeboats and
according to British Rowing rules: an opportunity to build formal racing
experience for those starting to look at off-Cam head races, and to earn
those precious BR points (handy for HORR/WEHORR qualification!). In
addition to racing, there will be a good variety of food, drink and kit
stands available - including a special '99s ice cream!
We will host 8s races for local rowers affiliated with the CRA or CUCBC.
An entry form can be found on our website, here:
https://www.cambridge99.org/events/autumn. Any small boat racing goes
through BROE.
We are again featuring the day-licence system from BR, which makes
one-off racing more affordable for colleges and occasional competitors.
More information can be found here:
https://www.britishrowing.org/2023/05/british-rowing-launches-pilot-scheme-for-racing-day-tickets/.
Visitors boat from Ditton Meadow; Cambridge clubs can opt to boat from
town. Races run side-by-side on the Long Reach from a stakeboat start at
the Railway Bridge for 550m downstream towards Ditton Corner.
Entries via BROE (British Rowing Online Entry System):

Happy racing!
