Dear Captains,
A number of admin points coming up to Uni Ivs tomorrow.
Firstly, a reminder that the division times are 14 45 at Baitsbite and 15 15 at the railway bridge.
Currently, Downing M1, Clare M1 and Queens W1 are awarded byes due to scratches from Peterhouse M1 and Girton M1 and W1. Those crews who have signalled an intention to scratch should let me know by 9am tomorrow if they now intend to race - and any crew (including crews that wouldn't be racing tomorrow) that does not believe they will be able to race should let me know by then for a 50% refund on race fees - there will be no refund for scratches after that. I will confirm any changes from the above to scratched crews around 10ish, and any crew whose opposition has scratched is more than welcome to race the course anyway, but doesn't need to - just let me know in advance.
Umpires need to bring only themselves and a CHARGED PHONE - please remind them to bring a charged phone because we will be using them as backup stopwatches and communication aids in case of emergency, so we will definitely need them and the last thing we want is a backup stopwatch dying because someone forgot to charge their phone. And a reminder that the meet time for them is 14 15.
If anyone knows anyone who would be available or keen to umpire tomorrow or on Wednesday - please let me know ASAP - as we have a couple of colleges who may not be able to. Especially for the Wednesday slot, which looks likely to go unfilled, if Sidney, Pembroke, St Edmunds, LMBC or Clare (clubs who have not got one marshal per boat) could provide an umpire, it would be much appreciated - by way of incentive I will hopefully be providing chocolate for all marshals, and some bonus chocolate may go the way of volunteers for that slot (and possibly even requisitioning captains!).
